The Red Hat operating system is now mainly known for its Enterprise Linux OS.  Red Hat also creates and maintains many free software projects. It is sponsoring the Fedora Project. Red Hat produces open source code, however they also sell subscriptions for their support and training for their distribution. A customer will pay one set and receive unlimited to access the Red Hat Network with 24/7 customer support. Customers can also add onto their subscription of an ‘Extended Life Cycle Phase” to gain access to previously released content, and the customer can receive limited support for this content.
